WE ARE THE
Maryland Heights Lions
CELEBRATING OVER 40 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY
The word Lions is an acronym for

Liberty • Intelligence • Our Nations Safety.

Several years ago while he was District Governor, Jim Salarano had another idea what Lions might be an acronym for

Loving
Individuals
Offering
Necessary
Services

Based on the people I have met in my 5 or so years as a Lion and in my own personal opinion, that is exactly what Lions are.

HISTORY OF OUR CLUB

The Maryland Heights Lions Club received its charter from Lions Clubs International in March 1963. The club chartered with 23 members and was sponsored by the Creve Coeur Lions Club.
